Okurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......I am excited about this one. So, exactly three months after that night on the 18th of March, 2018 after I said 'yes I will be your girlfriend', (if you haven't read 'our story', you should go read that before coming here, so that you can catch up with all the gist), he proposes.

It was his mom's birthday on a weekday, a Thursday and we couldn't celebrate it as much because we were both at work, so he said he would celebrate it during the sallah holiday for her at his place, so what it meant was that we will be holding guests for his mom's birthday. So I spoke to my ajebutter (that's the name of my food business) team, and we started preparing for the day, the food, asun, small chops and everything we would need. The day came and guests started coming, his mom, sisters and very close friends were present, it was so much fun and his mum was happy and grateful. 

Meanwhile, Tomi had given me a hint that when a particular song comes on (if you would be at our wedding, we will be dancing to it during our first dance), I should get ready because it means he was about to propose, he was the DJ for that birthday party and I dint hear such song, a few minutes passed and this song came on and I started shaking, like what? is this about to happen? or am I just over thinking? maybe the song came on by mistake while trying to play another song from his playlist or am thinking too far? I had a lot of questions in my head, the song kept playing and it was clear that it wasn't a mistake, next thing, we heard him say from the back of the sitting room, 'Yewande, look at the screen', Yewande is his youngest sister's name and we were at the time playing jackpot and was so engrossed at it that we weren't paying so much attention, he said it over 3 times asking her to look at the screen, out of curiosity, we all turned to look at what was on the screen, (dont forget the song was still on), we looked at the screen, and it was this very lengthy words of how he would want to spend the rest of his life with me, below it was "will you marry me?.." I will try and look for the write up that was displayed on the screen and attach it below this page, but I might change my mind too lol. 

It was one of the best moments of my life, while I was still trying to read it, I mean, it was taking me too long to read between the lines, I was in between a lot of emotions, I couldn't concentrate to read and everyone in the sitting room were already shouting and expressing their joy, then booooooom! he comes close to where I was sitting, gets on both kneels and pooped the question verbally, I was embarrassed, excited, confused, overjoyed, shy, thankful... all the emotions!!!!!! I'm not sure if I said yes out loud  but I remember stretching out my left hand and after he puts a ring on it, I held onto him sooooo tight and started crying, his mom also at this point was crying as well, lol.

It was like a dream come through, I immediately reached out to my dad, mom, sisters and my friends and some of my friends (Rita, Chioma, Tolu and Funke) rushed to where I was to celebrate with me..........now we are planning our wedding.
